(Aging Transportation in the Post-Pandemic Era——Overcoming Technological Bottlenecks and Crossing the Digital Divide),关注智能技术和绿色革新背景下,破解老年人数字鸿沟的新技术、新手段和新方法,尤其是各国疫情期间老龄交通法规、规划和实施的比较研究。

Call for Papers/Abstracts from “International Aging Transport Research” Technical Committee, 2022 World Transport Convention

Amid urbanization, the global urban development cannot meet various needs of different age group population, thus triggering mounting problems associated with population aging and hyper-aging. To cope with this serious situation, many international cities have proposed and implemented such active and responsive planning measures as: building the “all-age” society encompassing all age groups; creating the convenient and accessible “aging-friendly” urban transport system; making realistic and viable urban development plans; and establishing gerontology and innovative service models, etc.

The 2022 World Transport Convention (WTC for short)is scheduled to be held in June, 2022. The “International Aging Transport Research” Subtrack (GH0703) and its Technical Committee within Transport Planning’s “Transport and Society” Track (GH07) will continue sponsoring the themed sessionn of “Aging Transportation in the Post-Pandemic Era - Overcoming Technological Bottlenecks and Crossing the Digital Divide”. The purpose of this session is to keep eyes on new technologies, new means and new methods to solve the digital divide among the elderly utilizing the intelligent techniques and green innovations, especially on the comparative study on the international aging transport-related laws, regulations, planning, and implementation in the post-pandemic era.

The topics of the “International Aging Transport Research” Technical Committee at WTC include, but are not limited to, the following:

-International Comparison of Aging transport policies;

-Application of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Technology in Aging Transport: Smart Travel and Mobility;

-Application of Assistive Technology in Aging Home Living: Smart Aging in Place;

-Digital Divide in Aging Transport and Its Coping Measures;

-Aging Transport impacted by COVID-19;

-Other Topics Related to Aging Transport Research.

You are cordially invited to participate in our session to brainstorm various ideas and share suggestions to meeting the social challenges attributable to population aging, and actively explore strategies and tactics associated with green and intelligent aging. Therefore, you are warmly welcome to submit your papers or abstracts and participate in our session at 2022 WTC.

Considering the COVID-19 impacts and associated uncertainties, WTC has made the following important deadline extensions of your paper/abstract submission:

Deadline for submission of "included in the abstract collection and presentation" and "presentation only": February 28, 2022.

Please visit the following website to obtain more details:www.wtc-conference.com

When submitting your paper or abstract, please be sure to select:

Technical Committee within Transport Planning→“Transport and Society” Track (GH07)→“International Aging Transport Research” Subtrack (GH0703)

Note:  after the 2022 WTC  conference, the  Academic Sub-Committee will recommend the excellent accepted papers (excluding papers accepted by the proceedings of the WTC conference)  to special issues of aging transport in <>, <> and some international journals. The conference proceedings and journal publication are required to be original papers.
